I had a bit of free time last week so I decided to make a map of Denver's Light and Commuter rail system (including the future FasTracks lines) using Tube Map symbology. A significant portion of the Fastracks build-out will be coming online next year and I am getting a little antsy...

Harry Beck's electrical schematic inspired map of London's extensive rapid transit system is designed to depict the relationship of stations and lines to one another, rather than their true geographic position. It only uses 45 and 90 degree lines for  simplicity and clarity. When making the Denver version, I took a few liberties with the font used (it is not the traditional Sans Serif made famous by the authentic Tube Map) and the locations of "Interchange Stations" don't necessarily follow the definition given on the Tube Map.

Note: I did not include the Flatiron Flyer BRT because trains only.
